Where to start…
September 8, 2005 – 12:33 pmWell, I missed a few days here. I have just been too busy.
I set up a Windows 2000 Server for our little apartment here. Michele and I were offline for several days while I worked on it and got our PCs inserted into the domain and working properly. I’m still picking out the bugs and getting it all smoothed out. It’s been a really good learning experience for me. I’ve spent the last several months at my new job maintaining Windows Server managed networks but I haven’t put one together until now.
School has been keeping me pretty busy too. Not so much the school part itself, but the homework. Math is going ok. My instructor is hispanic and doesn’t speak english very well. I can tell it’s been a problem for some of the other students, but most of us can figure out what he’s trying to stay.
My Intro to Programming class is awesome. I can’t wait to ace this class and move on to some real shit.
I’m also taking American Government and Biology online. these are both kicking my butt. I have to do 2 1/2 chapters of Biology every week to keep up. That’s a lot of terms to memorize. American Government is a Gordon Rule course so there’s lots of essay questions which pain me to no end.
All in all I think I’ll do well this semester though.
Michele started her new job. She can’t do anything or even touch anything in her office yet. It’s all classified and she hasn’t gotten her security clearance yet. Supposedly it may take months for her to get full clearance. I’m glad that she’s not a secretary anymore. I have mixed feelings of pride and jealousy towards her new job. But the proud far outways the jealous.
